I'm a North Dakotan girl through and through, wife, mother, homemaker, your hype gal and die hard Catholic and if Jesus is your best friend, you love warm weather, an unhealthy amount of lemonade, oldie country + indie folk music or a good ole adventure to name a few - I'd think we'd make great friends! If not, no need to fret you're valued and welcomed here, too!
We later moved to Idaho in the summer of 2020 as my husband continued his education in medical school now fast forward a few years into marriage we made the move back to No. Dak. for Mason's clerkship rotations + have three beautiful boys making us a family of five! Gosh, do I LOVE being a wife and a mother let me tell ya!
Woah, I'm going to need a little breather after saying all that! In short, I have been very blessed with the life the Lord has given me!
I am 24 years old and I was born and raised in Minot, ND. I graduated from Minot High in 2017 and currently reside in Minot pursing what the Lord has in store for me and my growing family. Spring of 2018 I got engaged to my high school sweetheart, Mason Nicholas, and we got married the in 2019 in our hometown. In our first year of marriage, we traveled two weeks abroad in Europe walking the streets of thousands of years of history in Rome and explored the small towns near Swiss alps of Switzerland.
I understood that if all the lowly flowers wished to be roses, nature would no longer be enameled with lovely hues. And so it is in the world of souls, Our Lord's living garden.” Flowers, plants, gardens have always been a beautiful + fitting relation to the life of the faithful and so, if I am rooted in the One who created me (and you too) and loves me so well, I can bloom anywhere He desires me to. Just as I am rooted in the Lord, and he allows me to bloom into who He has created me to be, so too can this business, if rooted in Him, bloom into something capable of serving the Lord.
Since I could remember, I've had a deep love for them. I loved going with Papa John to pick out flower bouquets for my parent's anniversaries when I was younger and I love to visit local flower shops or search for flower fields every chance I get or use them for decor to brighten up my home for any occasion. The aesthetic, the smell, and the feeling of seeing flowers is incomparable for me. If they could be I think florals would be the sixth official love language in my book. The one thing I love most about florals is that they can grow in the most unexpected of places; places where tragedy has struck. They make what was once chaotic, beautiful, and are rooted so deep in their soil that they grow back time and time again - just Like Our Lady, Our Blessed Mother, Mary does. A saint once said, “I understood that every flower created by Him is beautiful, that the brilliance of the rose and the whiteness of the lily do not lessen the perfume of the violet or the sweet simplicity of the daisy.
I bought my first dslr camera my freshman year of high school and I took a few classes my senior year and now in my early 20's, it has made my love for taking photographs with each session I do and getting to tag along on some of life’s greatest moments. It has been a long road to establishing my small, but growing business and pursuing one of my many passions. A career that not only allows me to make my brand my own creatively, to constantly improving it but is always adaptable to family life and allows me to serve my family as a wife, mother + homemaker but not sacrifice my career in my midst of it all. I am certain this is where Jesus wants me to be. I believe that we will both enjoy the adventure, so buckle up my friends!
Papa John (a.k.a. my father) had an old film canon camera that I loved to explore around with and pretend as though I was snapping pictures. From there, I found myself more and more intrigued with photography as I grew up. I was always the kid that was terrible at art in school - I think I actually threw all my art away secretively because it wasn't something I wanted displayed on the fridge hall of fame. From ceramics to drawing I could never perfect it way I wanted to but then I picked up a camera and fell in love. It was something I could be creative and make my own and became my little niche that I can always keep learning and improving upon for as long as I desired.
