Yes, we are packing our bags as now as a family of four and trading the ID mountains for the ND prairie!

The Merck’s are officially moving back to North Dakota! You’re right my friends, that means Root & Bloom Photography is based out of North Dakota once again and boy oh boy are we excited! We miss our ND home and a place near our roots for our boys so we are thrilled to transition back home!

We got the news mid November that our request was accepted by Mason’s Medical school to do his rotations at the only ND campus in Minot this summer for the next two years until Mason graduates! After then he will continue on to residency where we have a few places in mind in ND but ultimately where the Lord leads our family to be as Mason furthers his education and training in the medical field and where he can best use his passions and gifts to serve the Lord!

The timeline of everything still looks a little foggy at the moment as we decide what specific dates we will move and such, however the general layout of our timeline is sessions/weddings from mid May – late June travel will be out of Minot, ND.

July I will not be taking on anymore sessions/weddings during this time since we will be in back in Boise for the month for Mason’s rotation training! If we have been in contact about booking in July do not worry, I am upholding those dates I have talked to prior to this post!

Lastly, starting in August my books are open and again based out of Minot, ND for the next two years until we know where Mason gets into for his residency!

I am so excited to open up my availability more fully once again for those living in ND and be able to serve you better without working from different states with differing time zones, larger travel fees, etc!

With all the said I will be ONLY taking on general sessions and weddings located in North Dakota from here on out with only a very select few out of state each year! If we have been in contact about your wedding out of state, no need to fret since I will honor those who have inquired already!
